    I have a heavy green street sign that someone ran over. I bought a brand new dewalt XR angle grinder. Do you think it can cut? I'm using a 40 grit type 1/41 Bauer metal cutting blade. Ive been cutting it for sometime. Are you suppose to put some force into cutting? I figure, you have to line up my cut and move it up and down barely touching the blade and metal. This tool is really something.

    • @DragonBuilds

      Are you cutting the sign or the sign post? Many road signs are aluminum and should not be cut with regular abrasive wheels.

      @@DragonBuilds it's the post not the sign. Should I be using a reciprocating saw?

      @@KyleBillie A grinder should work. You don't want to push too hard but it is important to maintain steady pressure on the tool. You might also want to try a diamond metal cutting wheel like the one I used in the video.

      @@DragonBuilds Okay, it's a "u channel sign post" so it's a very thick metal... it's not light so it couldn't be aluminum. I'll see about the blade you have:) I cut with a dremel, sawzall, circular saw. I'll get a face shield and gloves. I'll maintain the pressure to cut my line and don't be too forceful.

    The majority of self-contained units have the weight displayed on the data plate. Adding to approximately 10 psi is not exactly the most accurate way of charging... also, if there's a leak, it needs to be fixed. This is the old "gas and go" method. Also, piercing valves should be installed on the process tube so it can be pinched off and brazed shut afterward to avoid a leak at that shitty lil gasket in the piercing valve. Theres probably no safeties on this unit either to keep the cost down, which means if the low side ran into a vacuum due to the slow leak, then you most likely have moisture in the system. If you dont know what you're doing, you should call a professional rather than spread bullshit information on youtube 💯

    • @DragonBuilds
      @DragonBuilds Місяць тому
